Namaste, fellow yogis! I am creating this blog as a way to keep in touch with all my yoga students and fellow practitioners outside of school and Facebook. This summer, I will continue my Yoga in the Park(s) sessions, carrying on the tradition started last summer. I am continually learning and expanding my own yoga repertoire and expertise, and a fresh venue will bring some fresh ideas, poses, and perspectives as we enter the summer season. All are welcome, including first-timers and experienced yogis - bring friends and family!
I will be posting specific dates, times, and locations here. Generally, we will practice in the evening when the weather is temperate but before the sun goes down. The parks will be in the Encinitas -La Costa - Carlsbad areas. A large beach towel or blanket works best when we are practicing on grass (a traditional yoga mat can feel awkward on the uneven surface). Always bring a warm layer for savasana, as the coastal weather can turn chilly quickly as the sun goes down.
This summer, I will bring the "Karma Kan" and suggest a $5 donation. As always, no payment is required, but if you have a good experience, consider dropping some money in the "Kan" when you can.
If you want to receive an email each time I post, just "Subscribe" (on the right). You will be notified when a yoga practice date has been set!
